What a piece of crap--that man's brain is beyond fried. I've said it before and I'll say it again--this is where drugs get you. Yet another example of why I avoid druggies at all costs and wouldn't trust one as far as I could throw him/her.

Self-induced intoxication isn't a mitigating defense, so don't worry about that. As to "bath salts", they are of course still being sold in contravention of the new law. I saw that some shop in Dover got busted the other day for selling them. They have amphetamine-like properties, amongst which is the induction of extreme paranoia. Likely explaining in this case why one would be carrying a hunting knife on one's person and the attack itself. As to the self-described hallucinations, that description may or may not be accurate and may or may not have been offered as a self-serving explanation and an attempt at self-exculpation (which won't work anyway).

Freakin bath salts, whatever happened to smoking a joint, or drinking a beer. Bath salts, at this point if dog crap could get someone high some weirdo would eat it.

I always assumed "bath salts" just go in the water when athletes had aches and pains.

epsom salt on a sore knee for example...

Very scary. They banned bath salts in PA as well. Big problem with these synthetic drugs.

"Bath salts" of course was never anything but an intentionally deceptive label meant to evade legal control of the substance. I seem to recall that a number of years ago some smokable intoxicants were sold as "incense", as well.

True--bath salts were just a "disguise" label for this synthetic substance, although I have heard that some people did go out and buy actual bath salts and either snorted or smoked them.

And--James420 is right--some people would would eat or smoke just about anything to get high. I knew people in high school who smoked leaves off of trees in their yard to see if they could get high.

That is Borgia's on Union Street. Shot in the store? Geez, I never thought anything would happen around there. Do you know if the family still owns the place?
