Default Smyrna or Milford?

How do the two compare? My sister is looking to move closer to us, so I'm doing some research for her. How is work there? Schools? Shopping? Entertainment?

DE_Resident is on a distinguished road
Hi,

Smyrna has a lot of new communities going up and your sister may be able to get in on a good deal. Work... well that depends on what she does for a living. Smyrna in itself is a small town with some fast food restaurants, gas stations, and I believe there is a Roses in that town.

The Delaware Chronically Ill Hospital is there as well... that may be a place for work if she is in the medical field.

I'm not too sure of the schools though, I graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware.

Smyrna is about 12 miles north of Dover, which is the Capital of Delaware, and there is a lot more places to shop there. You have the Dover Mall which has Macy's, Boscov's, Sears, JC Penny, etc. It is right across the street from Delaware State University.

In Dover you also have places like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Sam's and too many others to mention. There are a lot more places to shop and eat there compared to both Smyrna and Milford.

Milford is more spread out and is about 22 minutes south of Dover. It has a few places to shop and eat but not many. They have a Super Wal-Mart and some fast food restaurants.

The one thing about Milford is that it's between Dover and Rehoboth Beach. Rehoboth Beach has Tangier Outlets, restaurants, and some entertainment from Rehoboth Beach, DE to Ocean City, MD.

Milford and Smyrna are small towns. But they are located near other towns which do have entertainment. But that depends on what your sister likes to do for entertainment?

Tony
