Today there is an opportunity to achieve some balance at the NCCo Council by electing a Republican candidate who is well qualified to be County Council President.

As much as I am NOT a Republican, I voted for Kovach strictly over development issues. I think he is more likely than the Democratic counselman Sheldon to make a real effort to control inappropriate development of the most beautiful parts of northern New Castle County (areas north of Wilmington), because he lives in the Brandywine Hundred and is apt to share the views of those of us here in Greenville and Westover Hills who don't want this area ruined by developers like Stoltz. I'm concerned about Sheldon also because he is the administrator for a union that relies on the construction industry (Bricklayers).
