Default Three More new Charter Schools....

Three more (actually four more but Moyer academy is a repeat) in New Castle County .. alll three for the upper grades ...meaning continuity with the existing lower grade Charter schools from 500 to 1060 students so the lottery won't be as restrictive.

If we're still here, I'm hoping to get my son in the new Charter school for math and science thats in the link. He has been offered to go into the IB and gifted programs at different schools. The IB in Brandywine School District is at Talley and the gited is at P.S Dupont, both schools are 6-8 grade. We turned down both offers and decided to send him to Springer Middle School for some AP classes. I hope the new math and science charter start middle and high school. I also read that Odyssey Charter was applying for a new name or Charter. I have friends that have kids in that school and they are very happy. I havn't heard anything new about the all girls charter in Claymont that took over Holy Rosary, it was doing terribly with talks of closing earlier in the year, hopfully things turned around for them.
