We are being relocated from NJ to Wilmington with 4 young children and wondering if these 3 places are worth looking into:Garnet valley PA, Kennett Square,PA or Greenville/Hockessin,DE....We would like a large yard and close proximity to RT 95.Can you give us your opinion???

My husband was relocated to SE PA last year. We looked around both PA and DE, but decided on DE (Middletown) because of the schools, significantly lower property taxes, and ability to buy much, much, MUCH more house for our money. We've been very happy with our decision.

I'd also look at Cecil County - about 15-20 mins from Wilmington . Like DE you can get much more house for your money but it also has a rural feel and is very family oriented.

We moved to the Lehigh Valley from Garnet Valley school district. We were very satisfied with the schools in GV and chose to move there because we felt they were great. At the time of our move to GV, we had a choice of NJ, Delaware and PA. My husband had gotten a new job just over the Commodore Barry Bridge in NJ. Although we could have afforded a bigger house in both NJ and DE, we felt that the schools in PA, and in particular in Garnet Valley were the better choice. I would suggest visiting schools themselves and see what you think. I would also suggest that you compare the High Schools, not the elementary's. There is a sticky at the top with websites for a search. We moved because out of GV because of my husband's job.
