Do you have plans for Superbowl Sunday? Will you stay home and watch the game, go to a party somewhere, have a party, or do something else?

In our small town, Superbowl Sunday is like a family gathering, and some don't even care about the game, just the party atmosphere. We started cooking early this morning, and tomorrow around 3 p.m. the parties begin at all of the houses within a 2-3 block area. We usually end up watching the game at the house with the largest t.v. screen, and that's also where all of the neighbors gather at game time, bringing the good things they've cooked/baked, or what's left of them.

I might do some shopping after 3pm - hope, everything will be empty

not grown up with super ball, it is still not my thing - but, I am trying to raise my kids as good citizens, so the TV is running and there will popcorn.

does this count ? is this a start ? I forgot, I also love to hear the national anthem, beautiful
and, one more thing, I do care for the commercials, too

enjoy your family gathering. reminds me on soccer worldcup happenings in germany

Go to the gym. Go out to eat. See as little of the game as possible.

Yes, and even worse, we're probably going over to Pennsylvania to eat!

I'm going to a party in Tribeca, Manhattan in a penthouse with millionaires. Should prove to be interesting, as I'm a poor person from Wilmington.

rdl, you should be very proud of me: we had friends over, i prepared some yummy fingerfood, I had tears in my eyes, when I saw players crying while listening to the anthem - finally, after years, I seem to adjust quite well.

I think I am the kind of guest every super ball party should have: no idea about the concept, but a LOT of smart comments . but they could not kick me out, since I hosted the whole thing, haha

Sounds fun, i really don't care who wins either, you can't help but feel patriotic w/ the national anthem etc. It was just the 2 of us here, I made some hor'doerves but will just say one of them was a little disappointing in that it tasted better than it looked, oh well, will try it again but another time when I have more time (was rushing, haste makes waste), I probably should have just made something real simple like stuffed celery w/ cheese whiz or crackers and cheese (did have a couple of new dips I wanted to try), the little hotdogs in crescent rolls was easy and turned out good too, hadn't made that in ages
