Zarabeth,
Not to split hairs, but it might be somewhat of a stretch to say most of MD is on the right (east) side of the Chesapeake Bay. Marylanders (I was one my whole life) refer to that part of MD as the Eastern Shore. There's quite a bit of MD west of Baltimore as you head toward West VA and VA. We call that Western Maryland. No big deal. Just wanted to add a little perspective.

hey, peeweaz I love knowing details! And yes, you're absolutely right, there's a big chunk of Maryland on the left....I have travelled thru the top of the state on the way to Pittsburgh, and it's so pretty...Delaware is so flat.

Zarabeth,
You sound like me - details, details, details. The big picture, visionary folks can see way down the road, but they can't get there without us. The devil is always in the details.

Elizamary,
I also like Joe Biden, but I have to agree with you about his half-hearted attempt to becoming the next Pres. I thing I would like him more if he spent less time on the train running back and forth to his do nothing colleagues and more time getting Dupont to clean up their cancer-causing waste dumps in northern Delaware. My two cents.

nrkelly, I live in Seaford, Delaware....we're in the bottom left hand side of the state....we drove to the Smithsonian in DC and it took us three hours, and THAT was with traffic not too bad on the notorious Bay Bridge.

Zarabeth, i used to live in seaford in 2005 and i dont no which way you used to get to DC but if you use RT20 to RT50 in cambridge MD then onto DC it only takes about 2hrs (if that) and is almost straight to DC instead of down and around.

Biden lives in North Wilmington, and many afternoons I see a small United States of America plane land at New Castle airport. I'm not so sure that Biden uses the train.

It's pretty widely known that Biden commutes each day to the Senate. There are many sources on line that confirm it, including CNN, US News and World Report, Time and others.

From his website: "He never forgot where he came from. While most Senators live in Washington, he commutes home every night using public transportation to be with his wife of almost 30 years, Jill, a school teacher, and his now 89-year-old mother."

Believe it or not, Biden has a page on MySpace, where he says, "I'm also one of the only professional legislators that does NOT live in Washington D.C. Instead, I ride Amtrak home every night to Wilmington, DE."

Supposedly, along with him on the commute on many days is Arlen Spector, the senator from Pennsylvania.

Yep. Joe says he does the Amtrak thing every day. I'm told that it is the fastest way in...right downtown DC. Leaves from Wilmington Train Station.

I can't help but wonder what/whose plane SMXGirl is seeing. Maybe it's Tom Carper or Mike Castle.
