I'm not sure who is actually "organizing" a get together. I do think that we should at least move the conversation from the "Land Lease" thread, so I'll open a "Getting Together" section for our convenience.

Well, aren't we all just a bunch of jet-setters! Joycie to AZ; Eliza to Maine and Italy; and Bunny and I to the East Coast. You'd think we were all rich.
Joycie, Summering was absolutely correct about the wx at the Grand Canyon in the winter (We live here). Make sure you get an updated wx report from your sister-in-law or the Weather Channel on line. I believe only the South entrance is open during the winter months. The North entrance is usually snowed in. If you Goggle the Grand Canyon, you'll get a good look at whats available. We went last April and the morning temps were in the twenties. Bring your long johns. Elizamary, Are you spending Christmas with the Bush's at Kennebunkport? Funny you mentioned Maine. Our next door neighbors here in downtown, sunny, Fountain Hills were born and raised in Maine. They just returned from a trip.c |

Hey you guys...thanks so much for the heads up regarding the Grand Canyon!! Dang, now I will have to take another suitcase...that should make it around 6 or so now!!!
Funny how you have pictures in your mind about things. I never would have given it a second thought. I suppose that's true because I had always been in the Southwest in the warmer months. You are right, Peeweeaz...you would think we were rich. But, what the heck..life is short and it's time to go and enjoy. I will just have to start cutting out coupons more often!!!! Joycie |

Eliza,
It makes perfect sense. You usually do. If you get to Venice, make sure you take a Gondola ride. Maybe Bill will croon a couple of tunes for you. This assumes, of course, Venice is still above or at sea level. ![]() |

Well it is my understanding that they advertise really nice houses cheap but the lot rent goes through the roof. We have not personally checked this out because we recieved a few tips before we even checked it out. If you do check it out, find out what all the expenses will be including your lot rent, taxes, water and sewer and any other expenses that could be hidden. Get ALL the detail. |

While it was on a semi-private street overlooking the Indian River, no way worth that kind of money. |
