I am a user of pre-paid cell phone service and I noticed no one has brought this up. After the initial investment years ago through T-mobile and a Samsung phone bought at Target, I pay $10 a year for all our airtime needs. Like others, I only use my phone for emergencies or short chats, do not text, or play games on it, etc. I realize this is not for everyone but we have been happy with it for over 5 years now. Of note, we are currently living in a rental situation where the owner has "locked down" the landline phone so we have been using the pre-paid more these past few months. However, when we eventually move to our permanent location, we will get a landline phone - prefer using it, just a habit.

Wow, so I'm not the only person out there who isn't into cell phones and expensive cable . I WILL be looking into this antenna given I only watch tv for about 90 minutes a day. We only have Mediacom basic cable--no digital, no movie channels, no extra whatever. I am a tightwad; I like to have extra money to spend on fun stuff.

I don't pay one dime for my 120/minutes a month cell through AT & T, BUT I am on my mother's family plan. She pays the $15/month for my Christmas gift every year. I hate phones, hate talking on them, hate hearing them ring....I know, that's weird but my husband is the same way as well. Now, he has a 60 minutes/month plan through Verizon and pays $25/month. I told him he needs to just get a pre-paid drug dealer special through Wal Mart, but he chooses to keep his plan. Oh well, to each his own...our finances are kept separate anyway.

Should my mother ever decide to boot me off her plan, then I will be buying a pre-paid drug dealer phone. We still have a land line and most people have only that number. However, we need to keep our land line because we don't want people calling our cells and our internet service is also provided through our phone company.

This sounds good but just so I understand... Mount this antenna to your house, connect it to a coax cable, and plug in your tv? Does anyone have a good list of channels they have been able to get?
