Someone has a contract to buy 10 acres of land. When the contract was written, there was a typo in the amount. The amount was higher. I would like to know if this person can be held to the typewritten amount?

This is a question for a lawyer ... I am only offering an opinion that must be corroborated with an attorney .... Does the contract have any contingencies? If there are no contingencies that will enable buyer to back out of the transaction what is written governs .... although the person can give up on the deposit and walk away (forefitting) it and hope that the seller does not sue him for "specific performance"!!.
