Hi,

We're looking for a ballroom dance studio for oldest child, up to 25 miles around Middletown (Newark, New Castle, Smyrna, etc..). Can anyone recommend one? I'm only finding jazz/tap/hip hop places here. If we don't find ballroom, I'll take a recommendation on any other good dance studio. Thank you!

There's one in Wilmington. Sorry, I can't tell you the name of it but an internet search should bring it up. It's in a decent part of Wilmington BTW.

OK just did a quick internet search - Candlelight Dance Studio, though there seem to be a couple of others as well

Thank you, doctorjef. My fear for the ballroom places I'm finding online is that they're geared to a more mature audience. I guess we won't know until we go and see for ourselves. I was hoping maybe someone would know first hand. Oh well, maybe it's time for my kids to jazz.

My husband and I go to "Take the Lead" in Hockessin and are happy with the instructors we've had. The University of Delaware dance team uses this studio. According to their web-site they do offer lessons to children.

Thank you very much for the recommendation, we'll check them out. I wish it was closer...
