Old Dominion moved to DE? I was wondering what happened to them. They used to be down the street from us.

Old Dominion was bought by a joint venture between Anheuser-Busch and an Annapolis-based brewery (can't remember the name). After being bought, the joint venture moved all of the combined brewing operations to Dover.

$5 for a tour? You could tour Dogfish Brewery in Milton free and get free samples.

Old Dominion has a brewery in Dover but I think their main operation is still in Virginia. Anyway last night I had a Dominion Stout that was amazing, very smooth, thick, flavoured with vanilla bean and oak chips (IIRC). Good stuff and not too heavy ethanol-wise -- ABV a little over 5%, much lower than most Dogfish Head.

OK, just re-read stuff on their website and if I understand correctly, it would seem they moved out of VA completely and are now brewing only in Dover. Cool.
