We have tickets to the Phillies/Nationals Game in D.C. and have never taken the Metro. If anyone has done this drill, I'd appreciate some direction/advice.
1) Is the Metroliner station easy to access from Rt. 50/John Hansen Hwy?
2) Will we be taking the orange line and transferring to the blue line to get to the Navy Yard?
3) Is this better than driving the full distance?
Thank you!

The metro is really easy to get to from Rt 50. Just follow the signs posted on Rt 50.

Especially if you are not used to driving in DC, I wouldn't recommend it.
So taking the metro, while it will be crowded, will be easier for you.

Enjoy the game, it's a beautiful ballpark

Oh missed your second question!

You will start at New Carollton on the Orange line. At L'Enfant Plaza you will transfer to the GREEN LINE towards Branch Ave.

Metro is the way to go around DC. Like other poster said -- metro is easy to get to from Route 50.

Thank you!
We've been to the Nats' games before, but it's been quite awhile ago. Then, we drove all the way. Much different, now .
We're looking forward to it.
