Default Looking for Poetry Events in or around Dover or surrounding Cities

I've just moved to Dover a few months now and like some others in previous posts was making the commute to King of Prussia early in the morning. I now am looking forward to finding something in the area. I'm a 30 something year old male so I look forward to living in Dover. I'm in Smyrna. It's pleasant living here. Great thing is my Aunt and Uncle live down the road and my cousin and his family live on the other side of me. You folks here have a great attitude and I like the information and the helpfulness given out on the diff forums. Well thanks for listening...and have a great one. If anyone knows about open mics or poetry events please let me know because I am interested in that sort of thing.

Hi, and I'll welcome you to the area, even though I don't live here! I do visit, but will shortly return to where we rent a house in NJ. We were checking out much of Delaware, in part because of affordability and in part because of several relatives here, but we've pretty much decided now that it's likely to be another state. Still don't know which one!

One of my relatives says for me to pass the following along to you: it is really hard to find any activities--related to poetry, literature, reading, etc.--here in the Dover area. She says that if you succeed, or maybe start your own group, you might like to post about it here.

I'm just telling you!

Hi and welcome to Delaware! If you find anything out about poetry events around here, I would be happy to know!! I would be happy if there were ANY interesting group-type events other than stuff you find connected with a hospital. I will keep my ears open and check back. Good luck!!

Welcome to Delaware! You might want to check out Bell, Book, and Candle on Loockerman Street in Dover. They have a website, and the influence is Wiccan/Pagan. In fact, this Sunday is Pagan Pride Day. I have never been there, but have always been curious and might make it there on Sunday. Check out their events schedule. This is certainly something you won't find everywhere.
