[quote=elizamary;1354362]I have wondered about that place. So it is really good?
It's incredible. The platters are amazing. The other night I had the brisket platter. Not an ounce of fat! A sweet potato the size of a small football, a side salad and loaf of fresh baked bread. We watched them remove it from the oven and bring it to our table in about 15 seconds. The dinner was $9.50. Add a sweet tea and a ridiculous desert (we had Chocolate Peanut Pretzel Pie!) and it's a reasonable and delicious dinner. I could do it again tonight ... lol I'm posting the results of the tours on the 55+ community thread where most people can benefit from it. Charley |

I think Duke, the Irish Setter, on the Bushes baked beans commercial would like to know the location of that restaurant.

I second that on Where Pigs Fly. They have the most mouth-watering ribs I have ever had. Also, the restaurant has cute pig decor. You just can't ever have a bad meal there.

Try the dinner salad at Pigs. I think it's called Southern something or other.
It's huge, and you can't beat the price. I think it's only around $7.00. They top it off with real turkey and pork that they use for their BBQ. |

All right, I know this is a silly question. But does Pigs have anything resembling a vegetarian entree? I mean, other than requesting that the tempting salad be served minus the turkey and pork? I know, I know, it's not that kind of a restaurant, but for our health we are leaning in that direction.
I told you it was a silly question, but I don't know anyone who dines there so......maybe we'll just save Pigs for that every other month we're-gonna-eat-whatever-we-want dinner. ![]() Lori |

A quick look at the menu does not show any vegetarian main dish. You can review it by Googling Where Pigs Fly and click on Menu.

Charley, thanks. Since I work at my computer much of the day and since so many places have websites, you'd think I'd have thought of that.
Sometimes it is possible to make a good veg dinner of side dishes. Lori |

I've done that at Cracker Barrel when not in the mood for meat ... which is rare. For those who do the same, Cracker Barrel has an off-the-menu meal that includes six sides!
With all the talk of pizza, bagels and barbeque, it's no wonder that I'm always trying to diet ![]() Charley |
