Just one example...DE politics and justice
OK....maybe two examples.
Articles from the News Journal.
delawareonline ¦ The News Journal, Wilmington, Del. ¦ Sherry Freebery's sentence: no jail, $350
Please note the comments that follow the article.
Then, if you are interested in DE public education, seek out info concerning the Delaware Military Academy bond issue and how one person has impacted funding for the school. Read the editorial printed in the New Journal about this issue.
Try this link:
delawareonline ¦ The News Journal, Wilmington, Del. ¦ Military academy and any other charter can use low-interest bonds
I'm truly not trying to disparaged the entire state and its citizens. However, if anyone is seeking info about a move here, the state's politics may of be of interest to some folks.
I'm sitting in southern DE right now. I own a home here.

Not trying to be a smart aleck, but this is different than any other state how? We just moved here from central NC (now in central Kent Co), but my husband's family are all on Long Island. Talk about politics and justice, etc., etc. From my research, this area is a happy medium so far compared to places we've been.

I'm in New York and if you want to talk about politics/injustice/inequity at the state level, New York is awful and it's one of the main reasons why we will be leaving for retirement.

Hey Charley,
You're a smart guy! If you move to Delaware, maybe you can tell Senator Biden to tell Dupont to clean up its toxic dumps in northern Delaware. Talk about politics and justice- jeez.

You know I am surprised they haven't done this yet!!! why have the citizens not protested or maybe they have.
I like Senator biden but I do believe he will continue being senator instead of President.
Maybe I will send him an email and see what happens.
Stay tuned................As the world turns so does my stomach.

One thing about living in Delaware that I have always been happy about : we are such a small state, the politicos don't get away with too much wrongdoing for very long. It's congested enough to have a northern, urban impersonal way; at the same time everyone knows someone who knows someone else or at least remembers their names . Freeberry & Gordon may have beat the charges, but there political careers in Delaware are over. In many states, they would still be in office.

I'm very happy to hear this. Also, speaks volumes about Joe Biden. He has been in office a long time and they keep voting him in. I knew I liked that guy.
Lived in Pa and I always though highly of him. A cutie too!!

I like Biden a lot and have for a while. I'm a C-SPAN watcher and have watched his decorum on the Senate Foreign Relations commitee as well as the Senate Judiciary committee when he was a member. He has always worked very well with both sides of the aisle. I doubt he'll garner enough support to win the party nomination for President, but I do hope that when the new president takes office, he or she will appoint him as Secretary of State. He would bring an experienced and knowledgable presence to the issues that surround this countries' relationships with the rest of the world, which is desperately needed!
