Has the effect of cameras downtown and crime ridden areas of Wilmington deterred crime at all? Has your crime rate gone down?
Is Wilmington still such a high crime area that you would deter your sister from living inside the city?

Crime is still prevalent in some parts of the Wilmington Downtown, there is not a whole lot of change. But not all of Wilmington is like that, you can try a little away from Downtown or even some of its suburbs or the greater Wilmington area. (Elsmere, Newport, Newark, Hockessin, New Castle) I wouldn't recommend living in Downtown, 3 people got shot in 12 hours and another guy the next day.

The impoverished parts within the city limits are currently experiencing the usual summer crime wave of shootings, but even worse than in recent years past.
