Surf fishing is my thing, but I've only been once this year so far. Here's a State of Delaware link which, I think, is helpful - not only for fishermen/women but for those wanting to indulge in fresh, Delaware Bay seafood at local restaurants. Those restaurants would only be those located along, or very near the Delaware Bay (certainly not chain restaurants like Red Lobster). I prefer the small fishing villages like Sambos & JP's on the Wharf, and those located south.

Looks like flounder catches are picking up, but so much depends on the winds and temperature of the water. In my opinion, there's nothing like fresh fish off the boat, along the Delaware Bay.

I haven't been fishing in Delaware yet...plenty of kayaking excursions, yes, but not fishing. However, I have been fishing in the Chesapeake and caught a six pound flounder on Memorial Day weekend . I was on my dad's boat.
