Man I miss so much on the weekends! If its OK with Charley and elizamary... I may pencil in Dec 28th as well. I'd love to try Where Pigs Fly!
elizamary... about lunch this week.... LASH had an emergency trip to NC and will probably not be back for Thursday. So if you and PA want to suggest some place in our area (the 3 of us), I'm game. I think you both have my number; I'm having computer trouble so I can't check here as often as I'd like. Try both... post here and call, as LASH is checking the forum and will let us know if she'll be back in town.

That would be great. Somewhere around December 22nd or 23rd, we'll do a head count and make reservations for whatever size table we need.

Hi Eliza! Well, we are set for Friday. I need to call the office at Southern Meadows to see if I can see a Wisteria model. I also got an update from them that they are discounting the monthly fee through January 1, 2010. GREAT NEWS!!!
I hope you and your hubby are still up for dinner on Friday. We are going to look at a few more houses so do you think we can meet at 6ish? Would you please make reservations for us and yourself and for whomever else wants to come? We are going to " Where Pigs Fly"...correct?
Looking forward to meeting you!

Hi Joycie............We just got back from a mini trip. Haven't had a chance to read through all the messages but I wanted to let you know that we are still on for Friday.
I will see if anyone else wants to join us then I will make reservations for 6, which is fine with us.
I'm meeting the girls tomorrow for lunch and will see who wants to come with us.
BTW....I have the Wisteria and you will probably see my house for the model.
Debbie does that sometimes. She will ask me if someone could see the house and of course it is fine with us.
Looking forward to meeting you and will call Friday to make reservations at 6 for whoever will be joining us.
Take care

JoycieM,
I just spoke to elizamary by phone; I asked her to pencil me in for the Friday evening group at Where Pigs Fly if that is OK with you. I may or may not have to bring my 12 yr old and 10 yr old, but if the place is pretty casual, they should be fine. I get the impression it is a family oriented place with awesome BBQ'd food. Let me know if my boys will be an issue; since we are new here, I haven't had an occasion to need a sitter. Also, I'll spread the word to LASH... she may want to be included as well.
elizamary (AKA the City-Data social secretary) will know the total head count when she calls mid-day Friday. I sometimes need to count heads as I put the kids to bed!

Hi Mary and Eliza! So good to hear from you! Mary, of course your boys are invited. Ron and I have been to the restaurant and it is casual. It's also very good!!! mmmm....love the bread!!
We love meeting new people and making new friends.
Eliza,
While talking to Debby the other week she did mention that she had a resident who was willing to allow people to see her home since they didn't have a model of the Wisteria! I wondered, " Hmmm, could it be Eliza?" You seem to have a generous heart with all of your sharing you do on this site. Then I thought, " What are the odds?" And, here it is...true!
I called Debby today before I read your reply. Do you think it would be good to come to the office on Friday at 4:30 or so and we can see your house and then go out to dinner? Let me know as I have not heard back from Debby yet.
Getting anxious!!!!

Hey JoycieM,
Hope I was not intruding inviting myself and sons for Friday. I took a leap of faith and discussed the possibility with the boys this evening, as I need to give the autistic one a bit to absorb the idea. I promised I'd check the menu, as neither of them are BBQ eaters (despite being NC born and bred!). I'd guess they at least have hot dogs or grilled cheese... both boys will eat those (although my 12 yr old has issues with "white" American cheese... oh, that's ANOTHER story!). He is getting used to the "white" cheese, which is a good thing.
As long as there is not a crisis with my next door neighbor, the boys and I should be able to make it. I'm excited about being able to eat DINNER out somewhere other than fast food! Woo-hoo! Not to mention meet more new people! Gotta love Citi-data!

Forgot to mention... JoycieM, if elizamary's house IS the model of which you speak... be prepared. She has been referred to on here as favoring 1) Sally Fields; 2) Pierce Brosnan; and 3) I believe the latest moniker is Mrs. Costner. Hmmm, who might she be by Friday??? elizamary, your secret is safe with me!

OK "younz" (Joyce & Ron)... we's lookin' forward to meeting ya'll too! As we used to say where WE came from!
Now where I am ORIGINALLY from ('bout 40 miles "down east" of Cincinnati... rural Ohio), Jeff Foxworthy would be right at home. Who says the south is the only home to country redneck boys (or girls for that matter)!
Just got off the phone with my mom... she's telling all our crazy DE stories at church back in NC... she'll tell the preacher Sunday we went to "Where Pigs Fly" and the whole church will get a laugh. I suppose I need to bring my camera to get a shot of the sign. Do I need to bring permission forms for the group as well??
