Well, I feel kind of dumb. Since as the OP I was asking about restaurants in Rehoboth I assumed that the Seaside Country Store was something like the Cracker Barrel with both a store and a restaurant.

For future readers of this thread: the Seaside Country store is a store. Nothing more. There's candy and sundry food to buy, but it's mainly a cute stop for cute items. But we left as soon as we realized and ended up in . . .Burger King. (Yeah, not my favorite, but we were hungry at that point.)

Ohhh...whoops! Actually, I thought the same thing too when I first visited the store. I always heard about the good food there and thought you could sit down and have a meal. The food there is tasty, but sadly....no restaurant. We usually hit the Dairy Queen if we go there.

I figure that since people took the time to respond, that I should make a return to talk about some of the things that I did in Delaware. They are not ALL centered around Rehobeth Beach but ...

Restaurants
House of Welsh Pub, Fenwick Island - pretty good pub food at a reasonable price - liked the philly steak sandwich.
Old Mill Crab House, Delmar - largest blue crabs that I have ever seen.
Rudy's Diner, Harrington - really good diner food, especially the turtle soup.

We walked the boardwalks at all the major beaches. The beaches seemed to be a lot cleaner than Ocean City and we walked around the business districts.

We ended up spending a lot of time on Dover. We spent a lot of time at the following:

Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover AFB - just missed the tour of Air Force 2. I was amazed at the number of aircraft that you could actually go into.

Johnson Victrola Museum - We got lost looking for Wesley College and founf this museum. The volunteers give you a great personalized tour and demonstrate the "talking machines".

Legislative Hall - We have visited most of the statehouses in the US.

Biggs Museum - We liked the exhibits of Early Delaware furniture.

Delaware Agricultural Museum - One of the more informative agricultural museums in the East.

Delaware State Police Museum - We expected very little but the museum was very interesting and the retired trooper giving the tour really brought the exhibits to life. A must see.

Spence's Bazaar - Well, it was sort of bizarre and there was an Amish market with plenty of good food at very reasonable prices. It was a good way to start a Saturday morning.

DSU Homecoming Parade
- This was not something that we expected to see but we made a wrong turn and were stuck. It was pretty cool.

Byler's Grocery, Harrington - I have been in any number of Amish surplus stores throughout the Midwest. Most of them sell surplus groceries at good prices. Most of them are not marketed very well and generally are a mess that you want to get out of pretty quickly. This is a 1st class operation with a lot of goods from the major grocery chains. And the prices were great.

Thanks for your help.
