Over a period of years, ShopRite, Pathmark, Safeway, Farm Fresh, Metro, SuperFresh and a few others fell by the wayside from the Dover area. At least two of them were located where Home Depot currently operates, sometime after Nichols Dept. Store went belly up in that location. It's nice to see a selection of grocery stores, like we once had.

Thanks for that info. I had wondered why pathmark and shoprite haven't settled here. Both were good stores in Philly.
For some reason they don't do well here huh? I wonder why.

I went to the redners up furthur on 13 before you get to smyrna and I didn't care for that one. Some days were okay and others I was really disappointed on the meat and produce selection. As soon as the produce stand open or I get up to Wiley...I like to do that.

Superfresh folded but I thought that was because it was expensive?
Anyway.....I'm happy with walmart for most of my needs.

Thanks for the message and hope your well. haven't seen you since we bumped into each other in the fall.

Well, we finally visited the Design Center and it was fun ! We were in the area for the weekend and we also checked out Redner's. Thanks everyone for all the info. Now we just wait for the house to be complete. We did go to dinner at Piazza Mia, since it's so close to our home-to-be. We intended to just get pizza, and started looking at the menu. It was our 40th anniversary so we ditched the pizza and ordered a nice dinner instead. It was really good. Don't know if it's good or not to have that restaurant within walking distance of our new home !
