What is "Trend"?

were you looking for find homes or apartments for rent? In my research, I wasn't able to find a whole lot of great apartments in the area, which surprised me.

Have you tried the Militarybyowner web site? I see 12 houses, and most of them rent between $1200 and $1900/month . They don't allow you to select on pet policy, but many say "by approval".

There is also High Point Park, a manufactured home community in Frederica. They allow cats and dogs. They are advertising a 3 bedroom at $949, according to Realtor.com .

I have a coworker who I know has pets (2 cats) and lives in an apartment complex in Dover. Cannon Mills. A lot of my coworkers scooped up the rentals when our job moved to DAFB last year! We aren't military so we didn't have the option for on base housing.

Good Luck!

Any luck???

I've had a tough time too. My first year in Dover, I rented a house in Magnolia. Rent was overpriced, the rental company never repaired anything and it was a good 30 min drive to work every day. I'm looking again myself. All I really want is a house with a garage in a SAFE area for 1100 or less/month. Seems reasonable to me, but a lot of the places at that price point are apartments, 55+, or in a not so nice area.

Not sure what type of pets you have, but sometimes homeowners will allow pets if you're offering up a pet deposit and/or offering up front to pay for carpet shampooing and flea treatment (regardless of whether my dog has them or not). It's worked for me in the past. Helps that my dog is small, but it seems that most people are just worried about fleas or damage they'll have to repair.

There are some homes that are listed through the base BTW, but a lot of them are in those seedy areas anyway. I've seen some here and there on Zillow too, I'd check there periodically.
