I figured one of you would go find the info on Patty Cannon. Charley likes to dig.

The link that was posted was the historical account. There are many tales of Patty Cannon type ghost stories as well. There are accounts that some of the bodies found on the property were Patty's 'husbands' or the men with whom she was living. Some writings seem to imply that she was extraordinarily large and strong for a woman. That she may not have been a she, but lived life as a she.

The history of the DelMarVa is interesting. Take a drive down the whole stretch of the peninsula sometime. Go off the main drag, and check out the little towns. It's like a place that hasn't quite caught up with time.

Take a boat from Onancock to Tangier Island and have lunch. Walk around the island. Wayyy down near Cape Charles there are some remote graves of Martha Custis' family. Weird history there as well.

Sorry for the drift. Can you tell I enjoy history? LOL!
