Yes Carole..........Skip bowwow unless they love horseshoes crabs. Coming from Tennessee they may not know what one is. LOL
The other beaches sound great. Have you been to Bethany beach? we rode through and it seems nice. Some folks rave about Bethany. they say it is a nice quiet family beach.

Charley..........I would take a peak at slaughter beach. When we visited, it was a nice area.
Looking forward to your visit

Charley.....I hope you'll have time to wade/test the water at Slaughter Beach. Tide was really, really low when I was there. Bower'sBeach water made my skin real sticky. BTW, the restroom at Slaughter is a porta potty but very clean.

elizamary......You're probably right .........guess we'll have to go to BowWow beach to show them the horseshoe crabs......

I'll only be in Delaware for about 50 hours and already have two 55+ community site visits to do (I thought I was done, but I have to see Champions Club and Roesville), four meals scheduled (sort of) with other parties - including a visit with my friend Ann who is the new Director at Bayhealth - the Delaware State Fair, shopping and more. If I do get to look at Slaughter Beach, that's about all I'll be able to do - look! But that's OK.

THANK YOU!

To the Delaware forum members who got together today for lunch and for dinner, Marlene and I thank you for a wonderful experience. It is really something special when you can meet someone for the first time and within minutes, sit and chat like we've know each other for years. And it's always nice to meet with those we already know!

Coming to check out the 55+ communities is fun. Coming to do that AND to be able to share a meal and some quality time with special people is a true treat.

Thank you Elizamary, Bill, Cotton, John, Ron, Joyce, Laura, Calvin and Pat for your friendship. You guys are really special.

Charley and Marlene

Hi Charley!

Sorry I wasn't able to catch up with you and your bride this visit; hope you and Marlene have/had a great visit to the Diamond State! I ordered beautiful weather for your visit, if that counts for something!

Will be interested in reading about your "finds" with the 55+ communities; and hope to catch you next time you're in town. We haven't even made it to the fair yet, but hopefully, we'll get there to meet up with movn2del and her hubby.

Ron and Joyce, and Laurel, sorry to have missed you folks too! Perhaps next time as well. Hope everyone had a great time, and we'll catch you on the flip side!

Mary

Hi Mary,

Thanks for the sunny skies. Of course it counts! We did have a great time and yes, the next time we're here, we've got to arrange to see you.

I'm not sure if I will be posting my findings from this past weekend, but if you have any questions at all about anything, you know my email address or you can send me a direct message and I'll answer any question you might have. That goes for anyone. I'll always share what I found. I'm just not sure I want to share it publicly anymore. There are those who have problems with us outsiders moving in and the debate about what I found vs. what other's "know" has become boring.

Charlie,

It was a pleasure meeting you too. My clan had a great time with everyone, good food, good people, good times. I love the fact I learned about places to eat and visit from you guys that aren't even living in Delaware yet, like you Charlie, and Ron. LOL Geesh and Elizamary we barely got a chance to chat, but we'll have to get together soon. You are an awesome person such a sweetie!!! And your hubby Bill what a nice guy! Ron and Joyce, what can I say, you guys are so much fun! Charlie you and Marlene didn't chat as much either, we need to musical chairs or something. LOL But I do know everyone was wonderful. I hope we can all do it again soon!

Hello to all from hot and humid PA!

It was great to meet up with everyone this weekend! We truly had the best time!
Meeting new people and catching up with old friends was the highlight of our visit!!! I am sorry that I didn't have more time to talk with everyone. The time just flew by.

Mary...we missed you and hope to catch up with you on our next visit. We hope to come back down there in late September or very early in October.

So to Charley, Marlene, Cotton, John, Arlene, Bill, Laural, Calvin, and Pat...
((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))

Love
Joyce and Ron, too!!!

It was absolutely our pleasure to be able to meet you and your family. I think the fact that we were sitting at opposite ends of the table did make it a little difficult for table-wide conversations. We do need musical chairs, or a round table, or some configuration that allows us all the get into the conversations together.

We had a great time and I am very happy that you were able to join us and that I had the opportunity to meet you. The trips to Delaware are special for us and they are even more special when we get to share some time with friends. Thanks for helping make this weekend really great for Marlene and me.

When we got back to our neighborhood a little while ago, we looked at each other and said "We're back", with a sadness that tells us where we really want to be! So save a place for us at that big round table. We'll be back.

Charley
