Happy holidays from our house as well! So far, we have had a very "interesting" first year here in central DE... and a not so good week before Christmas. But I'm trying today to put on the smile (along with an apron, as I am way behind on my baking/cooking) to keep the holiday cheer.
I am in total agreement that hopefully 2008 brings all good things for all of you... especially our newfound forum friends! For those who are traveling this season, may you all have safe journeys and we'll catch you back here when you can!
Take care everyone!

Twas the day before Christmas, and all through the forum
Not a member was stirring, there was such decorum.
The usual chatting was missing today
It was so very quiet. Did all go away?
Magnolia's best duo, Elizamary and PA
Are probably busy, planning Christmas Day.
But where are the rest of the Delaware Crew?
We are missing the wisdom we usually read through.
There's Delly from Dover who's been here a while
She often shares memories and brings us a smile.
And Rockky who tells us of the Bethany sea air.
She describes it so well you feel you are there.
And Lash who was helpful with our future book orders.
And she helped us make contact with B&N and Borders.
I wonder how Lori is doing out west.
I do hope she'll write us and tell us the best.
And speaking of west we remember with glee,
That out in Arizona is our good friend PeeWee
And Mary who came here from North Carolina.
Her presence in the First State makes Delaware finer.
We also welcome our new friend Kpharma.
We hope that's he's happy in a very safe Smyrna.
And Carguy and Leroy And D from STB,
And Franz and Dusty and more friends to see.
Then suddenly the silence was broken with noise,
When that fat man said loudly at the top of his voice ...
"Thank you for being such good friends to me,
Merry Christmas to ALL from CMTAD"

Hey All,
It's the prodigal son, peewee, I've been on the East Coast since 12/05 and haven't had an opportunity to chat on the forum. I'm so far behind, I may never catch up on the news, but I did see where Charley's mom passed away.
Charley,
I'm really sorry to hear about your mom. Mine had a struggle with Progressive Nuclear Palsy and she also suffered before she went. So, I can somewhat relate to having to be sad for several years, knowing the inevitable was coming. Hope you and your family bounce back as best you can. I know it must be tougher during the holiday season. So, take care and be well. And thank you for the honorable mention in your great Christmas poem.
Well Gang,
After arriving to a snow storm in Baltimore and putting up with rain in Hanover, PA and then another worse snow storm in Syracuse, NY that forced me to delay my return by a day, I'm ready to go back to the land of sunshine.
My wife and I have put everyone on notice - no more winter trips. We're coming back in June, 2008 for a family wedding. Might get the opportunity then to meet some of the cool folks in Delaware. Will let you know down the road. Take care and have a great New Year!
Bob

Thanks, Bob, for your kind wishes for my family. I can't tell from your note whether your Mom's passing was recent or past, but please know that I empathize with you.
Hello everyone. Despite numerous obstacles, I greet you from my room at the Residence Inn in Dover. We made it. On the way to the hotel, we stopped off to see the models at Noble's Pond. HOLY COW! Outstanding. Of course, the models all have the top of the line amenities in them so we need to imagine them with our "crap", but that's not difficult to do.
I "think" that we might be available for "Where Pigs Fly" tomorrow evening and I'll know for sure tomorrow afternoon. I know it might be short notice and I absolutely understand that no one should be sitting around waiting to hear from me, but I will post whether we can get it done.
My best wishes to all. I'm glad we're here.
Charley

Hey Peeweeaz...............Welcome back. I must of missed the part because I thought "what happened to Bob"?
Glad to see you posting and hope your vacation was a good one. Sorry we didn't get to hook up.
Sounds like you did a ton of traveling in bad weather. One thing, we dont' get as much bad weather in the dover area. Oh we get some but most of the storms traveling northeast seem to bypass the peninsula.
I'm sure I speak for the rest of the gang when I say we would all like to meet you when you come in June cuz you a pretty cool folk too
The happiest New year Peeweeaz!!

I had a special treat last night. My wife, daughter and I were joined by Elizamary and her husband (real name withheld) at "Where Pigs Fly" and I have to tell you that as good as the food was, the company was better. We had a delightful evening and chatted like we've known each other for years.
If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting these two fine people yet, you're missing a treat! I look forward to the next opportunity to see my two new friends again soon.
Charley
P.S. Oh yes ... and the food was great, as usual.

Hey gang!
Sorry I missed ya Charley... we were actually driving back from NC via Va Beach last night. Would have loved to meet you and the bride... but hopefully next trip for you.
PeeweeAZ... sorry to hear you had such crappy weather, but you hit it on the nose about the "land of sunshine" re: Phoenix area. I spent a week in Scottsdale eons ago, and it was gorgeous!
We had a really crazy few days in NC... other than family drama with my sis & bro, it was awesome. I was able to pull off the surprises of Tony's life by "hooking up" with the 3 most amazing young folks that have worked with him over the years. One moved to Japan about a month before we came to DE, and the other we have not seen in a few years (and is now expecting his first child with his bride). Got to see my two older kids, who I miss terribly, as well as a few very close friends from our old stomping grounds in NC. Lord willing, hubby will be in tonight to ring in the New Year, as he was not able to get in last week.
Happy belated holidays to one and all, and may 2008 be your best year ever!
