Charlie and Eliza.........So sorry I missed you! I think I was confused, but my intentions were good. I had WPF on my calendar for the 28th, but the last I read, Charlie wasn't going to make it. I haven't had much time to check in for updates, but I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday.

If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting these two fine people yet, you're missing a treat! I look forward to the next opportunity to see my two new friends again soon.

P.S. Oh yes ... and the food was great, as usual.

I knew it was Bill. I just wasn't sure whether he wanted his real name used on the forum. So do, so don't and not being sure, I was being cautious.
We had a fabulous time with you guys!

We did too charley And I do appreciate your caution. Bill is okay with Bill but I'm okay with Eliza............on line. Only my friends that I am in contact with outside the forum knownow my real name.
Gee, I wonder if I sparked some curiosity?
Actually, I always thought my name was part of our parents generation.
Take care..........Eliza

Hey All,
Want to wish everyone a very happy New Year! Going to the Green Turtle tonight in Bel Air,MD and act like a goof. I'll probably be asleep on the table at 11 pm.
Since this an off topic thread, I thought I'd take an opportunity to warn anyone on the forum that I was a victim of identity theft over the holidays - $811.11. Some low life apparently captured my debit card number from somewhere and used it online (four separate purchases) to have a nice Christmas. Hope he/she spends the New Year in jail. So, if any of you use a debit card to make online purchases or swipe it at retailers, be careful. First time it's ever happened to me, but I've learned a lesson. My bank says I will get my money back, but we'll see.

Checking in from Florida
Hi Everybody,
Just thought I'd say hi and wish the gang Happy New Year from north Florida.
I will be driving up to Dover in about 2 1/2 weeks with my mom. She is going to check out Westminster Village Assisted Living. We looked at a facility here in the town where she lives, but she didn't like it at all. I'm hoping she will like W.V. and look forward to moving up there to be near all the family. Down here in Florida, there's no family, and she only has a few friends her age left.
Charley has said many nice things about Noble's Pond. I think we will check it out even though we plan to settle in Southern Meadows.
Our house in Michigan is still sitting lonely, snow-covered, and un-visited. I don't know what we have to do short of dropping the price to $10 to sell it.
Some time during the week of the Jan 20, I'd like to see you all again. I remember Nov's lunch at the Chinese place was fun.

Hi Jonalyn.........I was just thinking of you the other day. We went past your Daughters house and I wondered how you were.
Nice to hear you are enjoying the Florida sunshine
Selling a home these days is NOT an easy task. I feel for you, I really do.
Have you heard about the St Joseph statue?
You bury the statue upside down in your front yard, say a prayer for 12 days or so.
there have been many success stories from people that are not catholic.
I was a wreck when our home was on the market. Someone told me about this so I tried it but skipped the prayer some days.
Then I started it again and during my 2 second time, the woman that bought our home showed up.
By the end of the novena, she gave us an offer and we accepted.
We would love to see you the week of Jan 20th. I'll Let Mary and PA know or they may read this post?
I'm sure we can arrange something for a girls day out for lunch
Happy New Year.....clink

I wanted to wish everyone here in Delaware a Happy New Year! Let you all know that if I were to be traveling up the northeast coast again, I would surely make arrangements to meet the Delaware friendly bunch!
Best Wishes!
Hugs to All, Suzi
