Default Close to Lewes....

I was planning a move to TN but recently spent a few weeks in Lewes, DE. While I was there, an opportunity presented itself. Here's what I'm finding. I used to live in NH. Real estate there is out of control and I don't find DE much better. Land in the Harbison area seems to be around 60K an acre and houses are no better then in the Northeast. I'm told that land and housing gets cheaper the further from the ocean you get.

That said....I'm headed to DE. I travel in a 40' bus (motorhome) and will be staying in that until land or a house pops up. The opportunity I spoke of comes with a few perks, like full hookups for the bus, help finding land, help building, etc..

Can anyone suggest an area to look where land would be reasonable...Maybe $10K+- per acre? I'd like to be as close to Lewes as possible. I'm thinking Harbeson, Milton, Georgetown, Ellendale, Millsboro.

Thanks...Ross

Pretty area! Lewes is a very quaint town. Check your PM - I sent you some info regarding the real estate office that has been there for years. They know the area and can tell you what ever you'd need to know.

We like to take the Cape May Ferry across to Lewes, and to shop at the outlets nearby.
