Thought I might have difficulty finding a fresh tree this year because of the draught. NOT !!!!!
Just arrived back from Fir Tree Acres in Magnolia. Hundreds of live trees to choose from and they cut them , shake them and wrap them all for $30 ....
Sizes range from 4 ft. to 10 ft. They are only open Fri, Sat and Sun. thru Dec 23. Honestly, this was the first time we picked a live tree and we are extremely pleased and it smells and looks fantastic !!!

Hi Pa,
Glad your pleased with your tree. That is a good deal. I think they are more than that in Philly.
We always have an artificial so I never did buy a real tree but The sounds great.
I could smell it as I was reading your email. I love that smell too.
Is this the same place on Woodlytown road toward s state street?
I know they grow Christmas trees there. some are so cute, they are just tiny babies now.
happy decorating

Yep. That's the place on Woodlytown. I had looked elsewhere at already cut trees and they appeared to be a bit dry to me. Sure glad I found this place. Will surely make it a holiday tradition.

We just bought our little tree from Modern Maturity. It is about 3' or maybe 2 1/2'. Came with lights and ornaments.
This is the first years since we have been married (39 years) that we have not had a 7' tree.

I'm okay with this though and ready to downsize on the decorations. Too much work and not enough space.
House looks nice though. Really does. WE do put a lot of lights outside on the trees and bushes.
But inside the halls are decked sparingly.
I never thought I would get to this point where I would be satisfied with just a nice touch as opposed to stinging lights and garland in every nock and cranny.
Off to the mall for a spell..........
