We are in northern NJ and looking to move to the Lewes area in less than 2 years. For those that have done the same move, could you give me an idea of how much it cost to move?

I think you are talking about moving costs as in a moving van. I moved from LI last year but it goes by weight which is unique to your home and what you are moving.

Thanks for your response. Yes I was asking about moving costs as in a moving van. I know it goes by weight and distance and realize every household is different, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what it might cost. I've tried calling a couple of companies to get an idea, so I can budget a bit for the move, but they can't help me.

Google, unlessmoving cost estimator and find one that goes room by room and you can plug in what you have in each room. Of course there is packing material, tape, bubble wrap, boxes etc that will add to the cost.
Sight unseen it is impossible to estimate. I would also go to the moving thread on cd.

Another suggestion is to try Angie's List to see the reviews of local movers in your area. Find a mover with good reviews and then read the reviews. The review process often asks the person leaving the review to indicate the cost of the move, from where to where and how much stuff they moved.
You can get a ruff idea based upon multiple reviews to give you a ball park figure.
