Kent County, DE SNOW
About 3 inches of fluffy snow here, easy to sweep off the sidewalks and car.

Did everybody leave? Haven't heard much from the Delawareans who contributed good information for those interested in moving to DELAWARE. This Delaware forum should be re-named...."This and That"....

Still here! I was rather traumatized by the ridiculous traffic we had all summer (gets worse every year), but things have eased up a bit now. Thank goodness!

Good, glad you're still around. I know ... I've been working down there quite a bit. It's suicide for those bike riders on Coastal Hwy. The other day I saw a skate board rider flying down Coastal Hwy. What are those things? Are they battery or gas operated? They really fly in and out of traffic.

Over here!!

I avoid the beach traffic as best as I can. Work has been mostly north this summer so missed all the fun.
They will need 3 lanes from DAFB to the beach if this keeps up. Or build more beach.

10 -12 inches of snow due here this afternoon. Please be careful on the roads, they are going to be dangerous. Hope this helps those considering driving here this weekend.

The Briners are all on Coastal Highway now, this could be the big one. Rethink driving here this weekend.

I could use some snow after this very hot and humid summer! July was horrific.

Rdlr--we quit doing our long bike rides around here a couple years ago; it just became too nerve wracking and there are still too many roads just off route 26 that desperately need infrastructure improvements (such as a bike lane). I won't ride on route 26 at all (even with the new bike lane) because too many cyclists have been hit by people going in and out of businesses. We may take a ride to the inlet once fall arrives, but only during the week. I don't ride down to Holts Landing anymore either which was such a nice, relaxing bike ride years ago. Again--no shoulder (which is needed) and nothing but cars on that road now due to Bay Forest.

I have seen those motorized skate boards too--and some awfully brave young people on them. Nope, not for me!
