Bugaboo Creek is OK - kind of like an Outback

They are a chain to the Northeast US and Georgia

My favorite place to eat is the Blue Crab Grill in Newark- Suburban Plaza. The atmosphere is cozy & relaxed. They have a wide range of seafood, steak, & pasta dishes. The recipes are unique and taste wonderful. I have tried almost everything on the menu and I have never once had a bad dish. I even enjoyed the cajun gator sausage! And the desserts are just as good. It is truly the best kept secret in delaware. They have a website you can check out bluecrabgrill.com

Thumbs up Cheese steaks and hoagies in Dover

New place in town. Nothing fancy but the owner is from Philly and he makes the BEST cheesesteak I have found in DE thus far. It's called Family Steaks & Hoagies and it is located on Governor's Ave.,near Loockerman Street. He just opened so he closes at 6:30 M-Thurs., 7:30 on Fri., 5:00 on Sat. and closed on Sunday. He weighs the meat and is quite generous with portions. We usually split one and it's enough for us. Hoagies are the best too.

Soooooooo, look no further for an authentic Philly cheese steak.

Default Dining near Dover

Lots of info on this thread. Our favorites in Dover are:

Fraziers, formerly the Lobby House, on Loockerman Street, nice patio if you prefer outdoors dining with a view of the lake. Just next to the Post Office in downtown Dover.

Mc Glynns on State Streets also has view of the lake.

Sambo's in Leipsic is one of our recent finds. Very rustic crabhouse approx. 5 miles north of Dover just off Rt.9. Located on the water, this little place has lots of charm with a very casual atmosphere. Newspaper table cloths, great seafood as fresh as it gets, beer served in pitchers with insert to keep it ice cold, friendly staff. While we were awaiting our food, we really enjoyed the views of the water and also the numerous yellow finches feeding outside the window. Plenty of window seats here.

Sambo's is great. Haven't been there for years but now that I'm back in De I plan on taking hubby there for steamed crabs. Definitely has lots of charm. Another place I use to like is Boondocks in Smyrna.
