I know. At some point, there will be no avoiding the fact that life on the Delmarva includes a taste for seafood.

Thern is on a distinguished road
Delaware may be a small state but if you are just out for dinner, you will find that it can be a real hike to the better places to eat unless you are the lucky ones to live near by. In my opinion Harrys Savoy Bar and Grill on Naamans road is where you find the best prime rib.
For real Italian tasting pizza its Marios off of rt. 896 in Newark. For a short trip out of Delaware and into Maryland just about 15 to 20 mins from the DE line is the best seafood at Woodys in Northeast. Worth the trip my friend in deed!!!~

Yes, but that depends on where you are Those places are all very good, and Woodys is one of my favorites. But, that's a long hike for me, so I frequent the "better" places in Kent and Sussex Counties. I was sorry to hear the Columbus Inn closed, another favorite of mine in Wilmington for a really "nice" place! Another favorite (gosh, can't think of the name) that nice restaurant on the Chesapeake River, in Chesapeake City, MD. Then there's the Granary.....are they still open? St. Michael's, Maryland has Perry Cabin, another winner. OMG............all I'm talking about is food, food, food! But for the meanwhile, tonight........we are going to Harrington Raceway and Casino for their DYNAMITE MILE-LONG BUFFET! We went Saturday night, the day it opened, and it beats any buffet I've ever been to in Kent or Sussex County.....steaks, seafood, soups, sandwich board, salad bar, dessert bar.....but this buffet is NOT the run-of-the-mill buffet. Y'all must try it! The old buffet in there has been closed for 4-5 months while this one was being built, and the old one wasn't very good, in my opinion. But, don't worry....I'm fixing myself a giant salad with salmon on the side, and fruit for dessert.

I cannot recall any specific restaurants, but Rehobeth Beach, DE has at least a half dozen EXCELLENT restaurants. A very refreshing break from the middling food that is available at the restaurants in most beach resort areas!!!

Default help me out please...

Last year we were returning from a trip and stopped in a nice Irish Pub. We were returning from BWI , heading for DE it was on the right side and all I can remember is that it was on Rt.50.near the bridge. It was visible from the road and I think it may have been in a strip mall. Can anyone help me. We'd love to go again but cannot find it anywhere even online.

Big Fish Grill is one of the best restaurants in Rehoboth Beach.. it is located on Route 1. I just dined there on Saturday night and the service and food was outstanding. I would recommend that restaurant to anyone in the area.

The Cultured Pearl comes to mind. It's WAY beyond middling
I will say the Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach has gone steadily down hill. It's a great place to see a band, an Elvis show on the deck, or for a few drinks. But, in my opinion, forget the food! And I will go on to say.......the staff/owner doesn't care if customers like the place or not! They are just plain rude!..........(again, in my opinion)

Delly, thanks for the tip. Hubby and I just returned from the new buffet @ Harrington. It was fantastic!!!! Haven't been to a buffet like that in many years. Tonight was prime rib and it was really great. It was under $30. for the two of us.
