Get ready for sub-zero temps overnight. Wind chills below zero are going to happen if you leave within a mile or two of the beach.

I guess the Weatherman did not hear about Global Warming. They even closed many Senior Centers today .Likely because of the danger of folks getting to and from their cars. Network news is say it's 40 something in Miami.

There is a lot of ice. Falling can be REALLY BAD for some older folks.

We have set some new record lows for Delaware! Indian River Bay appears to be frozen as far out as I can see from Pot Nets beach.

I was working along the boardwalk in Rehoboth this morning, and the Atlantic was an awesome site! Actually I prefer working down there any time of the year but summer, when it's basically overrun with tourists. No slop to step in this morning on the boardwalk, and no parking problem!

Speaking of the weather, I remember 1957 in Dover, January 18th - 2 degrees. There have been some cold ones in Delaware. Having been here a lifetime in Delaware, snow, ice, and frozen water ways - I've seen them all.

Anything is better than 4 degrees with the wind, anything. Unless it's colder of course.

I was out every night this week in crawl spaces, I eventually had to put on my duck hunting waters to stay warm, that was 2am on Friday morning.

2 weeks ago?? Last I heard they shut down operations in the fall. Hmm.

Edit: Well I'll be damned. They are still running flights to Tampa and Orlando. (Until April, or something?). As usual, News Journal coverage of it is confusing. I've had several conversations with other people who'd thought they had entirely pulled out of New Castle, so I know I'm not the only one.

Let me ask you this: how did you find out about the special? Email updates? Checking their site?

Frontier is operating from Wilmington to Orlando and Tampa through April.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look good for them reviving service this Spring to Chicago which I used liberally last summer. They will fly out of Philadelphia International instead.
