My sister owns one of the original town homes in there and it's very nice and I enjoy visiting it often. They are building a lot of new homes in there right now, which appear to be of your standard development style home here in Delaware, seems a new house is built in less than a month anymore. The area is a little bit away from Middletown, with the horrible traffic in downtown Middletown, expect it to take 15-30 minutes to get to the Walmart or multiple restaurants/stores downtown. The area is quiet though, and my sister hasn't had any issues with crime in there or kids running around. I don't see an awful lot of children, but there are a few and a bus does come there, not sure what schools though, as my sister nor I have children. Jump on Rt. 1 Northbound and within 30 minutes is just about everything tough, including a nice mall, a gizillion shopping centers, restaurants, services... I like to go up there in the summer and sit out on the porch in the summer breeze and watch the sun set, while enjoying a cold one and enjoying spending some family time with the sis.

Thank you trainman82 for the info. One of the things we liked about canal view was the fact that it's right by the highway which would be good for us. Glad to hear your sister is happy living there.

If anyone has any feedback regarding the colonia school system that would be great.
