University of Delaware, Newark (school, beaches, rated)

I've heard University of Delaware is a really good school, and was founded in the 1700's. I'm looking to attend a state school on the East coast, and I'm considering U of D. However, I may not have a chance to visit.

Can anyone tell me what the location looks like? (Or any other info about the school would be highly appreciated.)

...altho it has been awhile....it was a wonderful school to go too and a great town at the time. I did go to a reunion 2 years ago...and the same school spirit was there. However, the town of "Newark" itself, had deteriorated immensely. Overall, it is a top shelf - highly sought after school. You will have alot of fun, make lots of friends....and most of all, get to enjoy the beautiful Delaware beaches in the summer ....when you take your first summer job at Grottos!

If you get a chance to go to the University of Delaware, take it. It has the hottest guys and girls you'll ever see, is very clean (relatively,) and has an excellent location near big cities for you guys to explore.

I would have to say it is the perfect college experience away from NYC or maybe FAU (right near the Florida Beaches)
