Default townhouses near Milton

My boyfriend and I are planning on purchasing a townhouse in Milton sometime in the next 9-12 months. Right now Cannery Village seems to fit our location desires and price range (right around $200,000).

Is anyone familiar with the townhouses in this development? How bad are the HOA fees? Are there rules restricting pet ownership, etc?

Are there any other major townhouse or condo complexes in the area we should look at? We could possibly go as high as $250,000 but prefer not to, and are looking for 2-3 bedrooms and at least 1.5 baths. Conversely, are there any that we should absolutely stay away from?

There are a couple of townhouse areas just off Mulberry Street.. One is Shipbuilders Village and another is across the street but not sure the name of it. Both are close to Route 16 and sit just off Mulberry Street between a shopping center and H.O. Brittingham Elementary School. Not sure about HOA costs or anything such as that.

I figured I'd update my own post on this issue since others may be wondering the same thing.

As far as Cannery Village goes, I spoke to someone from the offices today and the HOA fees are $725 a year and paid on a quarterly basis, and they do allow pets.

Thanks Wildebeast. That's how we are able to have such a wealth of information in the Delaware forum. Good job. Someone down the road will definitely appreciate your taking the time to update us.
