Glad you solved that problem! Not the same, but our ice maker quit on us during that same hot week. While I was standing in line at the local butcher's just a block from us, I was telling the guy in line behind me about our ice maker problem and how we need ice for my husband's hip (replaced the week before). The guy said he works for X refrigeration company, and said he'd stop by after his deli order was up, and take a look if I wanted him to....YES! He did, in his company van, stocked with an ice maker that fit our fridge......$20 and a few minutes later we were back in business!
