You and PA love Costco. Gotta check this out sometime.

I do miss my pathmark. As boring as it sounds, I do. the prices, The meats and I knew where everything was. No place can beat the price.

Trader Joes was about a half hour away and we would go once a month. While we were there, stopped in a whole foods. My daughter (the vegetarian) and I would drive up for healthy foods we couln't get anywhere else.
I do miss them too.
But anyway, you do adjust. have too. I'm particular about meats so we found Haass Meat market in the Amish part of town. Wal mart seems to be just fine for everthing else. Produce, well........Haven't been that satisfied but I scout around. I do miss produce junction in Philly.
Wal mart is the place I spend most of my time.

Funny thing, eliza, I did 90% of my shopping at Wal-mart in NC... but here, I do very little. Especially groceries. Since I run around Dover so much with other errands, I get a bit here and a bit there. We get most of our fresh meat from Witt Brothers in Wyoming; I'll have to find out where Haas is. I've heard of them, but don't know where they are.

I catch a lot of our staples at Bylers, and love to go there about once a week just to browse and de-stress. Those that know about Bylers, know just what I mean. So poor Wal-mart gets a lot less of our food money than they used to... maybe why their profits are dropping! Just kidding... don't know if their profits are dropping or not...

Can't wait to check out the markets in PA you folks keep referring to... maybe a day trip in season?????

Mary

Mary, it was the other way around for me. Back in Philly, I went to walmart once in a while cuz we had a load of stores within walking distance from my house.
Now I have got to drive and drive. Wal mart is the closes and it has everything. One stop shopping.
I love Bylers too but it is a hike from here. We do go though.
Witt bros meat market kind of turned me off. It is okay but not worth the trip for us.
Haass is not far from Bylers. maybe we can make a trip there soon.
Tomorrow I meet my neighbor for aerobic, then get my hair cut. Thurs is ketch up day and dinner with friends, Friday I have a meeting at the clubhouse and Sat we are going to Va for the weekend.
So do you want to ride out that way on Wed?
Maybe I can stop and see your plants
Or
We can make it next week and go see Mary (jonalyns mom) on Wed.
Take your pick, I'm flexible.
I have 3 days open next week but they are filling up fast

I'll talk to you when you call about Mary... I'm calling W.V. now for their activities plans there. I may just ride up there alone this go around, and you ladies can join me next time.

What a popular gal you are... don't know how Mr Bill keeps you pinned down to see your smiling face! Have a great day!

Mary

Yeah, eliza, the kids don't talk much, do they???

You sound just like my mom, except it's "Art, do this" and "Art, do that" etc. Perhaps dad & Bill should meet!

Sorry for getting off topic... we do love DE! Mom & Dad do as well; we are looking at mid-June/July 1st for THEIR move! Aye, yay, yay! Right around the corner!

Mary

What I love about Delaware, is that some really nice people have moved here and now call it "home"! Some are even bringing their family members! Thanks for being y'all.
