Default Relocating to NCCo and I need help figuring out some of the smaller nieghborhoods

I seen a cute house in Overview gardens in new castle, elmhurst in wilmington and in riutherford... rutherford seemed like the best neighborhood but a bit out of my price range... the house in overview garden was really big and nice, but i felt like the neighborhood may not be good....

if anyone could help that would be great... any info you can give would be awesome....

What is your price range? There are a lot of cute neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city and there is plenty of homes on the market so you will have a lot to choose from.

The highest i can go is roughly 180,000... which is difficult... i can't find anything in the really good neighborhoods... that is why i am having such a problem... i have looked at well over 40 houses... either i love the house and HATE the neighborhood.... or hate the house and love the neighborhood... im finally starting to get some of the neighborhoods down... but now im just fed up... so i gotta get back on the horse and amke it happen... i know pike creek is one of the best neighborhoods, but i have only seen townhouses for 180000 and above.... i refuse to pay almost 200000 for a row home... plus it will 5 of us and i need a 4 bedroom house... any info you can provide will be VERY helpful!!

Thanks!!!

Not to put a damper on things, but as experienced real estate professionals, we know you will NOT get a decent 4 bdrm house for under $225,000 +. unless its in an undesireable neighborhood. Many townhomes could be good buys because it could have up to 3 levels of living space and you can get more house for the money.

Do you have a good realtor to help you find your house? A buyers agent will not charge you and can lead you in the right direction. It is a buyers market now, so people will be more willing to deal.
Hope you find what you are looking for!! Best Wishes
