Moving from Long Island for a job transfer, never been to Delaware. Where is a safe place for a 25

Where will you be working? Location means everything. You don't want to live in Rehoboth Beach and work in Newark. So, where is work and what special things do you want where you live?

I can recommend places in Sussex County, but that advice will be useless if you're working up in New Castle.

I'm in the same boat as OP. However, I will be taking classes at Uni of Delaware. Would like to know where's a good place to live for a couple in mid 20s. Transferring from NYC. We're mostly into hiking, appreciate green space, good restaurants, living near amenities would be nice since everything is so close in NYC. I wouldn't want to live in the middle of nowhere, but I also don't have to be right in the middle of all the noise. Any recommendations? We did visit Rehoboth beach and it was nice and we enjoyed our time there, however the school is in Newark...

Newark or Wilmington are probably your best bets.
