Default Where's the beach? (Newark area)

So say you live in Newark, and you want to go to the beach, and you don't want a mob scene like Rehobeth...where do you go? I'm guessing Cape May is also very busy?

Up there, Lum's Pond in Delaware, White Crystal Beach in nearby Maryland.....
No mob scene during weekdays yet at Lewes, but Coastal Highway is under construction down there.

Our daughter and her family stay at a Bed/Breakfast in Cape May often, and she says it's never been terribly busy, but very relaxing. She doesn't go Memorial Day, or other holidays, though.

Thanks for saying "beach" Delaware has "the beach" and New Jersey has "the shore".

Ah yes, when I was a kiddie and I lived in PA, we used to go "up the shore" to Wildwood. I'm glad I already have the lingo down now that I'm moving to DE.
