I'm thinking about creating a documentary about 1% biker clubs that haven't been featured in club approved documentaries , a task which wouldn't be all that hard for a fellow like me to accomplish , since some members of the club I'm about to mention actually acted as mentors to the group of headbangers I was part of in high school .

I won't be mentioning said club's full name ( out of respect ) but it rhymes with the word Megan's .

I haven't been to Sussex County since I left after high school , which is why I'm asking by the way .

I knew some Megans back when I lived in Lewes from 2000-2002.....lived over near the Rehoboth canal in a nice house and went to my gym. Pretty big group and they had some massive parties. The homeowner died a few years ago though (he was in his late 50's--early 60's) and I haven't seen any of them since I moved away from Lewes. They were all decent to me.....

Have not seen any "Megans" in a while. Years maybe.
With the drug epidemic we have now, you would think they would still be around cashing in on that.
I see the the bikers whose name rhymes with Wunder Baurds every now and then.

There was a big bust in Connecticut where a bunch of 'Megans' were popped back in May. They were definitely 'cashing in'. Used to see them on rides in northern DE back in the '70s. Probably 50 or so Harleys all in formation. They always treated me nice BUT I never offended them either. Used to have a big presence in Marcus Hook PA. Some even had the Crab take out place in New castle a few years back. I don't think it's still there. Right by the 40/13 split.

Yep, respect will go a long way with biker gangs. My husband has dealt with some in his law enforcement career and didn't have problems with them. They were actually much more pleasant to deal with than gang members such as the bloods, MS-13, etc.

I used to ride motorcycles in my late teens/early 20's and came across a few biker gangs when I was out riding, getting gas, stopping for a break, etc. Never an issue. I had a couple family members on my mom's side who were in a well known biker gang so I kinda knew what to expect when I was around them and when I met some at my old gym. Those parties were wild though! Wow....had a guest list, armed bouncers, bands, etc.

It's actually considered rude within 1% er circles to refer to a club you're not a member of by name . I prefer to stick to said standard of courtesy , since I was actually somewhat close to some members of the club I've referenced as a teenager .

Interesting . I grew up in the Broad Creek area which had a bar at the time , that was frequented by members of said club . I'm not sure if it still exists though ...

And yes all the members I knew were a very amiable lot . In fact I could say ( with some exaggeration ) that they took a fatherly/grandfatherly interest in the group of delinquent swampbilly youths that I was a part of in high school .

If it wasn't for them then many of us would have probably ended up in more trouble than we could possibly handle .

That being typed I must agree that the use of the word " Megan's " is not worthy of such a decidedly masculine club . So from now on I will refer to them as the " Reagan's " .
