Hello,

If it is helpful to people, I found a living wage calculator
compiled by an urban planning faculty. It is regularly updated
and includes a link to a PDF describing the methodology employed.

Nice information, but, as for me, I don't fit anywhere in there.
I'm self employed, and the harder I work, the luckier I get, and the happier I am.
(but, at 79, I've never fit into any kind of norm, in any category)
Could be helpful to others, though.

Scary if one’s objective is to achieve “living wage” a code word for being just over Federal Minimum Wage

I disagree. Minimum wage is mandated by law, but a living wage as I understand it refers to the wage needed in an area to be able to afford the costs of living.
