1. Is Trolley Square mainly a hangout for business people, 20-30 year olds or what is their basic clientele?
2. What is Rockford Park like? Trolley Square? What is the main age group of these areas? And what is the difference in these two areas, please? |

The difference as far as location is minimal, adjacent neighborhoods. The area in between the two is called the Highlands, which I guess would extend to Rockford Park. Trolley Square is very similar to your description. Lots of bars with outdoor seating, 20-30 year olds. The housing prices in Trolley Square have moderated some from what I have been told, but I have not priced houses there since early last year. In my opinion they were overpriced and would have had to come down significantly for me to consider. The houses (townhouses) vary, but most are on small lots with very little yard or privacy. Most have had some renovation, but to what extent??? The Highlands or the area near Rockford Pard, is what I consider to be the best area in the City of Wilmington, in my opinion of course. Large 5-6 bedroom houses on relatively large lots. Most have beautifully renovated, which absolutely comes with a hefty price tag. I actually went house hunting in the area on Monday. The least expensive house I saw was mid 500's, most were closer to a million and above. The area is ideal, neighborhood setting in the city. Get the feeling there is a lot of old money in this area. There is an area called Westover Hills which I would consider to be the most exclusive area of the city, but I do not believe the location can match of being close Rockford Park, the Brandywine River, an art museum and some great restaurants. Just my opinion, hope it helps.

I was wondering the definition myself. I am 32 and you could call me whatever you wanted if I lived that area.

To me, a geezer is someone over 55 and either retired or dreaming about it...you know, old peeps like me.

Trolley Square = Kelly's Logan House ( every day is St Patricks Day) & Toscano (easy Italian) but also Kid Shellens (older date stalkers), Moore Brothers Wine Shop, Brew Ha HA, plus a bunch of others -
Rockford Park = behind Tower Hill School -next to the Delaware Art Museum - the park itself is a che che place to jog if you have a Polo running outfit and hosts the Wilmington Flower Market ( Junior League) - closest restaturants/watering holes are down the road in Trolley Square. |

Is the park jogging path cinder? One of the few things I miss about Houston is a 3 mile circular cinder track located in a pretty park (the lack parks there, by the way). I used it alot, and loved it.
George H. W. Bush and one of his Secret Service guys was running right next to me, the Judge on Texas Justice (tv show) also. Public park, tho....miss it alot. |
