Have any of you Wilmington folks felt honored because of the fact that the Novel and subsequent Film "Fight Club" take place in Wilmington, DE? I ask because the plot of the story is to take down the establishment run by credit cards...and many of the companies are based in Wilmington, DE...I know this is a stupid question, but I thought I'd ask.

Well, I wouldn't say I necessarily feel "honored" to have Wilmington as the backdrop for the novel and the movie, but it's definitely interesting and always a good talking point at the bar, diner, coffee shop, etc. Not to mention it was a superb novel and one of the few novels-turned-movies that actually did the book justice.
I was disappointed that they didn't actually film it in DE though. ![]() |
