I'm not from the area and I'll be working in Wilmington this summer and I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on living in Wilmington or Newark.
Is it easy enough to commute from Newark to Wilmington?
Which area is safer?
How is I-95 traffic?
Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

It's easy to commute from Newark to Wilmington for the most part, but be prepared for traffic on I-95. It can get heavy at rush-hour. There are nice places to live in Wilmington. If you're looking for an apartment, look into Trolley Square area. We own a home in the Brandywine Park area. It is a nice area, although we have had our share of issues (car broken into overnight for stereo, etc.). We've lived here 5.5 years and had 2-3 type issues. If your female, just make smart choices. Don't go walking around alone at night. Good luck.

Where will you be working at, and where will you be coming from?

The commute is easy enough if you give yourself enough time.

Newark is safer. Transit is easy and fast between the two. 95 sucks at rush hour.

Wilmington's scene, Trolley Square, is Yuppie, while Newark's scene, Main Street, is College.
