There have been some great shows on the history channel about drug use in the USA. They indicate that drug use is up more in counties over cities because of amphetimine use aka crystal meth or ICE. I worked down in Sussex County for a company putting in the 911 system. Just like anywhere else you have your good areas and bad. In DE you'll know when you're in a bad area. It's easy to tell.

We have a family member who has just traveled to Delaware with a guy and is living on the 1100 block of West Fifth Street. She had been in a rehab. What type of area is this neighborhood? She has only been there a few days but other than this person knows no other people in the city to our knowledge. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Read #18 post in this thread. There's a site you can access, plug in a zip code or city, and see how many crimes were reported to the police within the past 2 weeks. Then, you can click 'summary' and it will indicate how many crimes were reported within the past year. It even shows a breakdown of the type of crime.
