First I want to thank everyone for all of the great information on the area! You've all been wonderful! My family and I are coming down Sunday to spend a few days looking at homes and checking out the area. Can anyone give me comparisons of, or information about Hidden Pond, Chimney Hill or Satterfield?
Are the homes nice? Are they established subdivisions? (Not half empty.) Families? Is one nicer than the other? Anything you could tell me would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Bill

Just to let everyone know, we rhode through the town of Harrington yesterday. I was quite impressed. So nice, clean and kept up.
A charming town.......really.
before, we had driven through on Route 13 and did not see much of the town.
Yesterday, we drove through from Denton MD and I was quite impressed.

Would love to see some pictures if anyone is so inclined to post them as a sticky like so many other states have, some of us arent able to travel due to various circumstances etc. Anyway, just mentioning it b/c I know photos had been mentioned a while back and at the time there seemed to be some interest in posting photos, DE is a small state but there's continuing interest in various areas. Nice weather is here now and it might be interesting taking some pictures of the area, ie beaches, restaurants, shops, heck even people etc. Thx to anyone who can, would love to take a peek as it's been a while since we've been to DE.

Honeycrisp, I will be taking my camera to Delaware. Maybe when I get back, I will be able to upload some of the pictures. I'm not making any promises though.

Movn2del,
Hope you have a wonderful trip, if this weather is any indication of how it'll be in DE, you'll have a great time. Here's hoping you get a chance to take some pictures, maybe it'll set a precedent going :-)
Thanks and safe travels -

Thank you all for your help!
We found a house and made an offer that was acceptable to all! So look out Delaware, HERE WE COME! We won't be closing until July, but we're very excited about it. The house is in Frederica only a short walk from Andrews Lake. It's a beautiful home in a gorgeous location.

Oh yeah, Billfmbh! Touche, and all that! Will look forward to seeing your posts on moving progress, and more so as you and your family settle in as new Delawareans!

I've driven through the Andrews Lake area, taking the country roads to Milford. Looks beautiful; I think you'll like it here. And to you and yours... WELCOME!

Mary
