Relocating to downtown Wilmington DE for work. Can anyone
suggests some Good Elementary Public School towns, in about 30-minutes-commute from Wilmington DE? Some names mentioned were: Red Clay or Brandywine School Districts in DE and Chadds Ford / Glen Mills / Wallingford / West Chester / Malvern etc. towns in PA. Any view? When it comes to the Elementary School (or even the Middle School), [public-schools of course]: Is the quality that drammatically different, between say, the Garnett Valley School District in PA vs. the above two school districts in Delaware? In other words, is it worthwhile to pay 50-75K extra buckaroos for a single-family-home (plus 200-300% more property taxes) in the Delaware county of PA vs. Hockessin or Brandywine in Delaware, for the so called "better-high-school-quality" benefit, which we won't be able to avail of, for another 5-6 years? Thus, is it better to buy a home presently in the Red Clay or Brandywine school district, for say another 5 years and then upgrade it to the PA region later? Any opinions from the experts / Moms / Dads will be appreciated. (If you are a real-estate agent, however, please identify as such with your region, so that, appropriate filters can be applied to the opinions expressed, for proper interpretation {understanding the motivation}). |
