Great Event for Newcomers July 17th
Best of Delaware Party at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, Dover. This is a great event for all, but especially those thinking about moving to Delaware. Sample food from many restaurants, music, drawings, and other. See link for photos.

It is quite a party!!
 The first one I attended was held in Wilmington. 2004 maybe? It was hotter than Hades, and they must have over sold tickets. The cops were in the lobby as we left. They were not allowing any more people in. Holy geesh! Those ticket holders were angry!! It flows much better since they moved it to the Downs. It's a great way to sample the local flavors. There is also a Best of Main Line held near West Chester at the QVC Studios.

Thanks for the tip - we were sorry to miss Dover Days this weekend, so we'll have to see if we can come up with a babysitter for this one!

Thanks Delly! Even though we will be close to our 1 year anniversary of living in DE by then, sounds like a great event to check out! Already, I have decided that this little state sure packs a punch when it comes to things to do, and experiences to be had!
We missed Old Dover Days, thanks to the Cub Scouts and their Jamboree at Killens Pond. Seems we miss more than we can attend, but will catch up in about 20 years or so! Thanks again for the tip! Mary
